Creating an endless feed on Instagram – templates and programs

When thinking about how to make their profile more popular, many aspiring bloggers come across an interesting thing called the infinite scroll on Instagram. This is a visual trick that will make your page much more attractive. If the idea is intriguing, stay with us – you will learn many useful tips and tricks and create your own unique style.

What is an infinite feed on Instagram – what is its essence?

So, what is an infinite tape? It is a design of your account where posts merge into one big post, creating the appearance of a single large image. This stylistic profile management allows you to intrigue and attract clients, which is necessary if you are advertising your brand through Instagram, as well as stand out brightly against “gray” competitors.

It also becomes a valuable experience when working with online editors. You gain practice and soon can start selling unusual templates. Moreover, you can opt-out of this idea at any time. So why not give it a try?

Apps for creating an eternal feed

So, if you have decided to use the above-mentioned trick, take advantage of a few good apps for an infinite feed. Namely:

  • 9Square;
  • GridMaker;
  • PhotoSplit.

These three utilities help to make cuts according to the template for each mini-post. Let’s figure out how to work with them.

9Square:

  1. Install 9Square in your phone’s app store.
  2. Wait for the virus check to complete.
  3. Launch the program and click on the icon with the images.
  4. Decide on the source of the photo: a new snapshot or gallery.
  5. Click on the number of cells you want to divide the selected image into, for example, 3×3.
  6. Tap the “Crop” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  7. Check the first photo you want to post and click “Share – Instagram – Feed”. If you just want to download the cuts to your device, use the “Save All” icon.

GridMaker:

  1. Download the GridMaker utility and launch it.
  2. Click on “Open Gallery” and choose the image you like.
  3. Select the number of cells at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Confirm the crop with the “Done” button.
  5. Move them to the “Save” gallery.

PhotoSplit:

  1. Download PhotoSplit and log in.
  2. Click “Upload photo” and tap on the desired photo.
  3. If necessary, rotate the image using the button in the lower left corner of the screen.
  4. Click on the number of cells. There are only three types: 3×1, 3×2, 3×3.
  5. Carry out your plan by clicking on the “Split” icon.
  6. Save the cut to the device memory by clicking “Save to gallery”.

They all have a fairly simple interface, so it’s impossible to get lost in them.

Useful to know. In eternal feed posts, you can use not only pictures but also text.

How to use Photoshop

If you don’t like online editors, try creating an infinite scroll through Photoshop. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open Adobe Photoshop on your personal computer.
  2. Click on the “File” tab and select “Create”.
  3. Set the height and width depending on the number of cells you want. For example, if you need 9 cells (3×3), the dimensions should be 3240×3240 since the standard size for 1 cell is 1080×1080.
  4. Find the “Slice” tool in the toolbar and select the entire area of the new image. Right-click and divide the background into 9 fragments.
  5. Create a new layer (ctrl+shift+N) and insert the background (in PNG format).
  6. Insert your prepared images, each time in a new layer.
  7. Add different elements and shapes as desired.
  8. Use the text tool and insert an interesting caption using different fonts.
  9. Save the result.

Your file will already be sliced into separate fragments.

Interesting fact: if you don’t know how to find small elements for your background in Photoshop, here’s a life hack: search for “(element name) PNG” in a search engine and download your favorite one.

How to create your own template for designing an infinite loop

If you plan to create your own style from scratch, you will definitely need to know how to do it. First, download one of the photo editors:

  • Canva;
  • PicsArt.

Let’s consider step-by-step instructions for each one separately.

Canva:

  1. Install the Canva app on your smartphone and open it.
  2. Tap on the plus sign and set the width and height. As mentioned before, the standard size for one cell is 1080×1080. Therefore, for a 3×3 grid, it would be 3240×3240.
  3. Confirm the settings.
  4. Tap on the plus sign and click on “Image”. Use photos from your gallery or built-in backgrounds from Canva.
  5. Insert a 3×3 grid (PNG image) by downloading it from Google Images. This will allow you to see the future “seams” visually.
  6. Distribute all elements (pictures, templates, illustrations, shapes, text, and logos) on the background. Change their size and placement.
  7. Delete the grid.
  8. Click on the “up arrow” icon and save the image.
  9. Cut it in one of the apps described above.

PicsArt:

  1. Download the PicsArt app on your device and open it.
  2. Tap on the plus sign and scroll down to the “Drawings” column.
  3. Select “Create a canvas” and click on “Manually”. Set the desired size.
  4. Select a background for your design.
  5. Confirm by clicking on the “arrow” in the upper right corner.
  6. Click on the “Layers” tool and create 4-5 new layers. Put each element on a new layer.
  7. Add the “grid” sticker using the “Images” – “Sticker” tool. To do this, enter “Grid” in the search and click on the suitable sticker (for example, 3×3). Stretch it.
  8. Insert all pictures from the gallery via “Images – Photo”. Place them as you like.
  9. Write text or draw a picture as desired.
  10. Delete the layer with the grid and save the image by tapping on the “arrow”.
  11. Cut the template and share it on social media.

Important. If you are confused and don’t know how to post to get a full picture, use the Garny app to plan your feed.

Endless design on Instagram is a creative style that catches the attention of any person, and that’s exactly what your business account needs. So arm yourself with useful tools and go conquer the popular photo network.
