How to answer multiple questions at once in Instagram Stories

In 2019, it is difficult to find anyone who is not registered or has not heard of Instagram. Regularly visiting profiles, scrolling through feeds and stories, and communicating in Direct have become part of users’ daily lives. In early July 2018, the app developers introduced a new feature – a special sticker for questions in stories. With the introduction of this option, a problem arose: how to answer multiple questions at once on Instagram stories?

Answers to questions from your followers in stories

The update allows the user to ask and answer questions about relevant issues directly in the chat. This feature has improved the quality of feedback from subscribers and helped engage users in active participation in the page’s life.

In the latest version of the application update, you can respond in Stories by clicking on a sticker (“CHAT”) that is pre-configured, asking the user in the window that appears, and then sending a response. The subscriber in this case sees the sender’s account, so there is no possibility of anonymity.

To create a chat in Stories, insert a sticker that allows you to use the function. Then enter the topic of the problem in it. After a while, friends respond according to the scheme described above. The user enters the stories and swipes up to display the statistics. Responses are publicly available, so the page owner will see all the data on who is asking what.

Note! It is not necessary to answer the question in the stories to every user, you can pay attention to 3-4 or ignore it altogether.

When you click on a response, a table with 3 action options appears:

  • share the answer – the problem remains in a new story, which will soon be posted in the feed;
  • send a message – the function allows you to switch to direct with the user who reacted to the option;
  • delete – permanently exclude from the list.

It is recommended to choose the first option from the proposed options. In Instagram, they ask about everything that interests the subscriber. This function does not provide for moderation, and the page owner independently selects the tasks to which a response will follow.

Setting up the interface in Stories does not require any skills. To change the color of the widgets, simply click on the sticker and select the appropriate color. The window can be moved, reduced or enlarged based on personal preferences. The “Question” field can accommodate a proposal in 55 characters with spaces.

Share answer option

This option has already been mentioned above. When selecting the “share response” function, the basis for the next Stories will be the given problem. When selecting and clicking the action, the application will automatically redirect the user to the mode of creating a new story.

The step-by-step way to use this function is:

  1. Go to Stories, where the problem has been previously posted.
  2. Thumbnails of user avatars who have viewed the story are located on the left at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click on the thumbnails.
  4. The “Responses” menu is located above the “Viewers” block.
  5. The questions-themes asked by subscribers are viewed in the “Responses” block.
  6. Finally, what is required is to click on the response of interest and select the “Share response” option, in which case a new story will be instantly created.

Important: the page owner sees the interested authors, but when published, the questioners remain anonymous to other users.

The next step after creating a new Story is to choose the background, location, and placement on the screen. The story is decorated with several types of text fonts of different colors, photos or videos. Stories also support the option of adding various types of graphic elements.

How to send a response to multiple questions at once

Users often have a problem with sending multiple responses and questions in one Stories.

Reasons for combining in stories:

  • significant amount of feedback due to popularity among subscribers;
  • reluctance to post many stories;
  • time-saving;
  • presence of several interesting topics of the same type or nature.

Many want to know how to respond to multiple topics at once. The optimal solution to the problem was proposed by foreign users. The method is relevant for smartphones with both iOS and Android operating systems.

Instructions:

  • insert a response into the story using the “share response” function;
  • take a screenshot of the screen;
  • add a photo as a background;
  • insert the next one and so on.

The procedure can be repeated as many times as desired, simultaneously answering two or more users. Thus, it is possible to publish solutions to two or more problems using a pre-prepared background. There is no other option as of autumn 2019.

Recommendations for response messages

Now that we’ve covered how to respond to questions on Instagram, let’s move on to a list of tips for improving the content and design of your Stories:

  • Only address multiple topics in one comment if they are related to the same task;
  • Avoid combining 2-3 unrelated issues into one story, as this will discourage followers and make them waste time processing irrelevant information;
  • This function is only available on smartphones that have received the latest version of the app;
  • Don’t add more than 5-7 responses to your Stories at once;
  • Select a background image with a neutral value;
  • Try to provide a solution to the problem in 2-3 sentences.

By following these recommendations, your Stories views won’t drop. Your followers will always be interested in following your life and learning something new about you.

The introduction of the questions feature in Instagram Stories last year has increased the platform’s social capabilities. This option allows you to engage with your audience through feedback forms. In this article, we’ve discussed in detail how to answer questions in Stories. The only available solution for now is to use screenshots as a background. As of fall 2019, there is no other way to execute this option.
